Innovated by the leadership of the 666th, command is online 7 days a week. Known to the Devil Dogs affectionately as OPS, a single operations commander can control several hundred players as one. Operations is run by the toip level commanders in the Devil Dogs and this position is key to coordinate air, hammer teams, shadow and mobile teams to act as one.
Bombing strongholds in, reconnoitering in enemy territory, transporting squads or gun-crews in a Galaxy, or downing equally cocky and less skilled enemy pilots; these are just a few of the things members of the Air Wing do. With tactics based on years of online team play and a sound understanding of the importance of teamwork, the pilots of the 666th are something fierce.
The Hammer Teams are broken up into Platoons. Each Platoon has 3 Mechanized Squads, and one Mobile Squad. The Mobile squad is a supporting element. They are a siege breaker and armor killer. Mechanized leads the way and mobile swoops in to distract or flank the enemy. Mobile still needs to move quick to get in and support the Platoon as needed. If you drop one place and clean it up, get ready to move somewhere else.
Shadow team is the special operations part of the 666th Devil Dogs. Your typical Shadow squad handles a wide variety of tasks, including overwatch and counter-sniper work, scouting, adjacency capping, base preparation, back-hacking, spotter work or forward observation for Air team, general harassment, and basically any other task Command needs done.
Not exactly what we mean by an armor column but the unbreakable steel backbone of the Devil Dogs, the Armor Team is capable of rolling columns of mobile devastation through enemy lines. Disciplined, versed in traditional mechanized warfare, and backed by the indisputable supremacy of the New Conglomerate Vanguard, our tanks shake the souls of our enemies as well as the ground they stand on. The enemy dreads our treads.
This Saturday at 12 PM Pacific be part of the 666th rally. The rally features the largest Combined operations in Planetside.
